IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome
IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome affects more people you'd think. Between 10 to as much as 20 percent of the population is affected by it and is the most common disease diagnosed by gastroenterologists (stomach doctors). Don't think you are alone.
IBS
is the most common disorder seen by primary care practitioners. Many times, this disease hides under such diagnosis as spastic colon, mucous colitis, nervous stomach and irritable colon. This disease causes the normal functioning of the intestines, stomach, the nerves, and the whole intestinal tract to be impaired. Even though the patient is in incredible pain, discomfort, diarrhea and constipation, the tests that doctors perform show nothing. We see a direct correlation between this disease and dietary allergic reactions. In our office, we are very successful in treating IBS. We desinsentise the digestive tract for all the basic foods. By doing this, the intestines react properly to the foods eaten the patient does not have a reaction.
Case Study Michael, a 26 year old, very thin, young man, came to see me for IBS. He was tired of getting sick from everything he ate, even though he had eliminated a lot of foods from his diet. He hated to go to restaurants, but since his job demanded that he see his clients for lunch or dinner, he could not say no all the time. He would get to the restaurant early, so he could choose a table close to the restroom, in case he would get diarrhea during or after the meal. This was a great inconvenience for him. He longed to have a nice, rare steak, but that was totally out of the question. He had a lot of cravings, that he could not satisfy without getting very sick. He had constant pain and never felt good. All these symptoms made him very grumpy and his closest friends and family had to endure a lot from his "bad temper". I found, that he had allergies to all basic foods and vitamins and started to treat him. He immediately started to feel better. He was a good patient, came when I told him to and stayed away from certain foods until he could have them again. He came for treatments for about 2 and a 1/2 months. Then he could have his steak and other foods he liked! He now eats practically anything and has gained weight, which he really likes. He can now sit anywhere he chooses.
