Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is a neurological disorder that manifests in unplesent sensations in the legs and an uncontrollable urge to move your leg when at rest in an effort to relieve the symptoms. Sleep is extraordinarily difficult if you suffer from RLS.

The sensations can range from a mild tingle to burning, aching or just outright pain. Because it affects you when you are at rest, a good nights sleep is impossible causing exhaustion and daytime fatigue.

The cause of Restless Leg Syndrome is unknown. We believe that the condition is caused by a weakened immune system, a poor diet, an imbalance in the organs and also medications that the patient may be taking.

Traditional Chinese medicine looks at this syndrome in a different way. The fact that it occurs at night, points to an energetic imbalance that does not allow for free and easy flow of Qi to and from the kidney system, liver and the heart. When these imbalances are addressed along with a change in diet, the body can return to normal functioning at night.

Diet is a major factor in Restless Leg Syndrome.

Next we test for sensitivities to the foods you eat. This sensitivity lowers the immune response. Our sensitivity treatments eliminate the negative reaction to the foods and strengthens your immune system, putting your body in a position to heal itself.

People with low iron levels or anemia may be prone to RLS.

Chronic disease of the liver and digestive tract are associated with RLS. By treating the underlying condition, the RLS often improves.

Medications and toxins are a contributor to RLS. Anti-nausea drugs, anti-seizure drugs and some cold and allergy medications can trigger RLS. If we can eliminate the reason for taking these medications, the RLS will also be eliminated.

Caffeine, alcohol and tobacco can also add to your symptoms. By reducing or eliminating these factors, you have a much better chance to make RLS a thing of the past.A typical Chinese diagnosis tells us which organs are out of sync and what approach to use to balance the affected organs.

With our multi faceted approach, we strengthen your organs, balance your Qi and eliminate the foods that irritate you. This will help you get a good nights sleep.

Medical authorities suggest that this is a lifelong condition for which there is no cure. We don't find that to be the case.

We know that by strengthening your immune system and organs, help you make better dietary choices so you are able to finally ingest the nutrients properly, you can overcome RLS. When your body is in a less than state, less than rested, less than healthy and toxic besides, you are unable to heal and regulate the body as it was intended.
