John didn't know if he was in the right place. He was in so much pain, it didn't really matter much. A week previously, he went to the pain clinic, got his epidural and expected it to work like the one he got about two years ago. He wasn't so lucky.

It had been only a few days and the pain just kept getting worse. He called the doctor and was told "It happens that way sometimes." Going back to him was out of the question.

It just kept getting worse, I could barely walk, and even sitting now caused lots of discomfort where it didn't bother me before.

He had a job that he enjoyed and thank goodness, it was sitting down. Lucky for him.

He told me that I was his only hope, his last chance. Surgery was not an option and his life was falling apart right in front of his eyes.

After looking at his MRI, it became obvious that not one, but 2 herniated disc were causing the problem.

We started the treatment that day. The first three days were tough. Just walking to the machine was extremely painful. After the treatment, he was a little better, but not much.

Treatment 4 was the turning point. Much less pain and now John realized there was hope for him. He could see that he would not have to live with this type of pain anymore. There was light at the end of the tunnel. As we continued, his pain went from, on a scale from 1 to 10 where ten is the maximum, down to 4 or 5. Half way there. I think back to when I first met John. He told me the pain level was a 12.

I told him it's time to start walking and exercising. He agreed. He got down to a 1 or 2 and stayed there. Most people are pain free by then. Then it dawned on me. He wasn't exercising. After I confronted him, he confessed. He agreed, started exercising and is now pain free.

It's been a year and a half. He's back at work and loving it again. How does it get any better than that?
